FemiWand is the name used for a HIFU vaginal tightening treatment offered by VIVO Body Studio. HIFU stands for high-intensity focused ultrasound. An internal applicator delivers ultrasound energy to selected tissue layers, with the aim of stimulating a tissue response. Your practitioner should explain the device, intended use and supporting evidence.
02How long does an appointment take?
VIVO describes the treatment as taking approximately 20–30 minutes. Allow additional time for your consultation, consent and aftercare discussion, and confirm the total appointment length with your chosen clinic.
03Is the treatment suitable for everyone?
No. Your health, symptoms, medical history and expectations need to be assessed first. Tell the practitioner about pregnancy, recent childbirth, infections, previous procedures and any pelvic-health concerns. Unexplained bleeding, pain or urinary symptoms should be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional before considering a cosmetic treatment.
04What results can I expect?
Individual response varies. There is limited high-quality evidence for the safety and effectiveness of energy-based vaginal rejuvenation, and improvement cannot be guaranteed. Non-surgical does not mean risk-free. Energy-based vaginal procedures can cause burns, scarring, pain during sex and persistent pain. Discuss the risks of the exact device and protocol, what recovery may involve and who to contact if you develop symptoms.

Your practitioner should give you written instructions tailored to your treatment, including when to resume sex, use tampons or return to exercise. Ask about expected sensitivity, symptoms that need medical attention and how follow-up will be arranged. Do not assume that every activity can be resumed immediately.
07Can FemiWand treat dryness, bladder leakage or prolapse?
These symptoms need an appropriate medical assessment. Cosmetic vaginal tightening should not replace care for a diagnosed condition. A GP, gynaecologist or pelvic-health physiotherapist can discuss established options; for example, vaginal dryness may be managed with moisturisers or prescribed treatment.
